Seafarers Playing Cards (Mediterraneo Blue Edition)

Inspired by the sea, mythology and the character of vintage playing cards, Seafarers: Mediterraneo Blue Edition is an exceptionally limited nautical deck created for collectors who appreciate intricate, hand-drawn artwork.

Designed in collaboration with artist Gustavo Magalhaes, Seafarers took six months to develop and was illustrated entirely by hand. The result is a richly detailed deck filled with maritime symbolism, from its elaborate back design and distinctive Ace of Spades to a completely original set of court cards.

Rather than simply decorating traditional courts, Seafarers gives them a story. Each suit has its own narrative, with its Jack, Queen and King symbolically connected to one another, rewarding a closer look at the characters and details hidden throughout the deck.

The Mediterraneo Blue Edition takes its colour directly from the Aegean. The blue was sampled to evoke the waters surrounding the creator’s ancestral island home in the Eastern Mediterranean, giving this particular edition a personal connection to the sea that inspired it.
