Off The Wall Playing Cards

Bright, rebellious and unapologetically retro, Off The Wall Playing Cards bring the energy of 1980s California skate and surf culture straight into a deck of premium playing cards.

Created for Art of Play and illustrated by South African creative studio MUTI, the deck combines distressed textures, bold geometric forms and an explosive palette of turquoise, orange, yellow, red and black. The result feels like something pulled from a vintage skate shop, while remaining unmistakably designed for cards.

The artwork runs throughout the deck, with oversized custom court cards, distinctive pips and a borderless back design. That abundance of colour makes Off The Wall particularly effective for cardistry, where fans, spreads and flourishes transform the artwork into constantly changing patterns.

Even the tuck refuses to play it safe. Its graphic, poster-like artwork is complemented by silver foil detailing, making this limited-edition deck equally appealing displayed on the shelf or opened and put through its paces.
