Matt McCormick Playing Cards

Western Americana meets one of cardistry’s most recognisable brands in the Matt McCormick x Fontaine Playing Cards, a limited-edition collaboration featuring the distinctive artwork of contemporary artist Matt McCormick.

McCormick’s work frequently draws upon the visual language of the American West, and that aesthetic translates beautifully to playing cards. Loose, hand-drawn cowboys, horses and rodeo imagery appear throughout the deck, giving it the character of an artist’s sketchbook rather than a conventional custom pack.

The familiar Fontaine identity is worked directly into McCormick’s illustrations. The minimalist back features a cowboy swinging a lasso alongside the oversized Fontaine “f”, while custom Aces and Jokers continue the Western theme. Traditional court cards sit alongside the more expressive artwork, helping the deck remain instantly recognisable and playable despite its unusual artistic direction.

Printed by the United States Playing Card Company, the deck was produced in a limited run of just 5,000.
