Maidens Playing Cards

Inspired by Día de los Muertos, Maidens Playing Cards feature artwork by Australian illustrator Kentaro Yoshida and a fully custom design throughout.

The deck centres around skeletons, maidens, roses and twisting vines, with detailed illustrations creating a distinctive style across the cards and tuck box.

Maidens features completely custom pips, fonts, court cards, Jokers, Ace of Spades and back design.

The court cards use symbolism and feature maiden characters alongside the custom royalty, continuing the artwork and themes found throughout the deck. Metallic inks are used to add further detail to the card designs.

The custom tuck box was produced by Clove St. Press in San Diego using premium imported dyed paper stock.

It features bronze hot-stamped foil, heavy embossing, letterpress inks and offset printing. A custom perforated tax stamp-style seal completes the deck.

The cards were printed by the United States Playing Card Company (USPCC) on crushed paper stock and traditionally cut for smooth edges and handling.
