Lunatica Equinox Playing Cards

Lunatica Equinox is the first deck in the Lunatica series by Thirdway Industries, designed by Italian artist Giovanni Meroni and printed by USPCC on crushed Bee stock.

The deck is built around the Moon, but not in a simple celestial sense. Lunatica explores both the astral side of the Moon and its more human, emotional symbolism: changing moods, shifting feelings and the strange pull between light and darkness. Equinox leans into that duality with a bold yellow and blue tuck box, sharp geometric artwork and vivid neon colours across the faces and backs.

It’s a deck with real presence. The design feels bright, modern and slightly mystical, with enough detail to appeal to collectors while still being highly usable as a deck of playing cards. The colour work was also recognised at the United Cardists 2018 Deck of the Year Awards, where Lunatica won Best Use of Colour.
