Karnival Fatal Playing Cards

Karnival Fatal Playing Cards are a stark, monochrome entry in the Karnival series, defined by sharp contrast, graphic composition, and restrained customisation.

Designed by Sam Hayles of Dose Productions, the deck uses a bold black-and-white palette throughout, built around a double-exposure visual style. The custom elements are focused where they matter most visually: an all-new back design, a bespoke Ace of Spades, two illustrated Jokers, and a fully designed tuck case that carries the same photographic aesthetic.

Unlike some Karnival releases, Karnival Fatal retains standard Bicycle faces for the number and court cards, prioritising familiarity and readability for gameplay and magic, while letting the custom artwork frame the deck rather than overwhelm it.

Printed by the United States Playing Card Company and finished with Bicycle’s Air Flow Finish, Karnival Fatal handles smoothly and consistently, balancing visual impact with everyday usability.
