Happy Sad Playing Cards continue Joker and the Thief’s exploration of duality, but this time with a stripped-back, contemporary edge.

Designed in-house by Pedro Oyarbide, the deck embraces contrast in its simplest form. The back design features a tessellating pattern of trippy happy–sad faces, forming a hypnotic sea of expression that feels playful at first glance and subtly unsettling on closer inspection.

This is a fully custom deck, built with everyday handling in mind rather than ornate theatrics. The faces maintain a clean, modern aesthetic, making the deck suitable for regular play while still retaining Joker and the Thief’s unmistakable design identity.
