Endless Hope Playing Cards explore optimism, ambition and the things we choose to believe in through the unmistakably imaginative world of Thirdway Industries.

Built around the message “Everything is going to be okay”, Endless Hope presents Hope as a powerful force, but, in typical Thirdway fashion, the concept isn’t quite as innocent as it first appears. Hope can inspire us to improve, dream and connect with others, but expectations and broken promises have a darker side.

Every court card represents a different Hope Idol, with the four suits dividing these modern objects of worship into distinct themes.

Spades represent Enhancement, exploring Silence, Wellness and Curiosity. Hearts represent Individualism, with Legacy, Romance and Dreams. Clubs represent the World, encompassing Art, Science and Connection, while Diamonds represent Materialism, represented by Money, Media and Show.

Overseeing them all is the Goddess of Hope, serene and balanced, yet carrying the warning that when hope disappears, the world built around it can come crashing down.

The production is every bit as ambitious as the concept. Printed by the United States Playing Card Company, the cards use an unusual combination of three neon inks and pure silver metallic ink. They’re housed inside an experimental premium-paper tuck finished with both holographic and gold foil, giving the angelic artwork a shifting metallic appearance as it catches the light.
