Stout has spent decades bringing prehistoric life to the page, with his dinosaur artwork exhibited in institutions including the Smithsonian and British Museum. His career has also seen him work with the likes of Steven Spielberg and Walt Disney Imagineering. Here, that distinctive palaeontological artwork has been transformed into a complete deck of luxury playing cards.

Rather than repeating a handful of designs, every card features a different dinosaur illustration, creating a pocket-sized gallery of prehistoric creatures. Dinosaurs interact with the familiar Hearts, Diamonds, Clubs and Spades, while even the indices are rendered in Stout’s own handwriting.

The card backs provide another clever detail, reimagining the instantly recognisable visual language of traditional Rider Back playing cards through a prehistoric lens.
