Deck ONE (Industrial Edition)

Dark, metallic and deliberately weathered, DeckONE Industrial Edition Playing Cards are one of theory11’s most distinctive early custom decks.

Created with artist and magician Homer Liwag, DeckONE takes its inspiration from industrial machinery, worn metal and engineered objects. The tuck immediately sets the tone with its distressed gunmetal appearance, designed to look as though it has already spent weeks being carried in a jacket pocket.

That weathering is intentional. For the Industrial Edition, theory11 redesigned the packaging to better reflect Liwag’s original artistic vision, creating the appearance of aged metal while retaining the practicality of a paper tuck. The box uses particularly substantial paper stock – stated to be 25% thicker than the Sentinel tuck case – together with a durable protective varnish.

Inside, DeckONE goes far beyond a custom back. Homer Liwag’s original artwork appears throughout the deck, including the Jokers, Ace of Spades and every court card. The Kings, Queens and Jacks have been given their own aged patina, carrying the industrial aesthetic from the packaging through to the cards themselves.
