Bucks Souvenir Playing Cards

A wonderfully strange piece of playing card nostalgia, Bucks Souvenir Playing Cards take inspiration from an obscure promotional deck produced during the 1990s for the American discount cigarette brand Bucks.

Dan & Dave had long admired the original deck for its unmistakably vintage design, unusual character and bold colour palette. With originals becoming increasingly difficult to find, they decided to create their own interpretation – presented to the Buck twins by Brad Fulton as a birthday gift.

Illustrator Jeff Trish recreated the spirit of the original while adding an unmistakable D&D twist. Most notably, the single buck becomes a two-headed deer representing Dan and Dave Buck, creating a clever visual connection between the forgotten promotional deck and the brothers themselves.

The vintage souvenir aesthetic continues throughout with a custom Ace of Spades, Joker and promotional card, while the bright red tuck and gold detailing give the deck the appearance of something discovered untouched in an American roadside shop decades ago.

This Standard Edition was limited to just 2,003 decks and printed by the United States Playing Card Company on classic Bicycle stock.
