Ace Fulton’s Casino Bootleg Edition Playing Cards

A deliberately imperfect recreation of a Fulton’s classic, Ace Fulton’s Casino Bootleg Edition takes the idea of counterfeit playing cards and turns it into the real thing – officially.

The concept began when Brad Fulton was contacted by someone trying to establish whether a deck of his cards was genuine. It turned out to be an unauthorised copy discovered at an Asian night market. Rather than simply dismissing it, Fulton took inspiration from the experience: what would happen if he bootlegged his own deck?

The result is the third release in the Fulton’s Bootleg Series. An original Ace Fulton’s Casino deck was reproduced using an old Xerox machine, intentionally creating the photocopied, underground aesthetic you’d expect from a genuine knock-off.

There’s another twist for collectors. The deck used as the source was an early version of the original Ace Fulton’s Casino design that never made it to press, turning the Bootleg Edition into a facsimile of a piece of Fulton’s history rather than simply another colourway.

Even the tuck embraces the concept, reproducing the photocopied artwork on tactile matte paper.

With only 400 decks produced.
